Inspire Bright Futures as a TK Teacher

In California, transitional kindergarten (TK) is an expanding grade level designed to serve eligible 4-year-olds before kindergarten. With your teaching credential, earn the additional 24 Early Childhood Education (ECE)/CD academic credits needed to teach TK through our online TK/ECE program. Participants receive hands-on training in designing developmentally appropriate curricula for young children.

Meet our instructor: Tamara Roberta Jackson, Ph.D. is a compassionate and student-oriented instructor in early care and education. As a retired director of special education for the school district in La Canada and a part-time consultant in the Special Education Department in the Inglewood Unified School District, Tamara R. Jackson brings practical experience of direct service and service systems for families, children, schools and the community as a whole.
