Fundamentals of the U.S. Health and Behavioral Healthcare Systems

This course provides an overview of the health care and behavioral health systems. Students will receive a foundational understanding of health and behavioral healthcare delivery systems and how healthcare systems affect the LGBTQ+ communities and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Topics include behavioral healthcare reform, system components, payment structures, delivery, consumer and provider perspectives, and emerging behavioral health care issues in the twenty-first century.
